Post COVID-19 Restrictions

We acknowledge Washington has reopened and removed most COVID-19 restrictions. However, we will continue to operate on a curbside-service basis at this time. Please understand the following limitations which have led to this decision as we continue to try to help you help your pet.

The hospital houses 17 routine admit beds, 6 temporary treatment beds, 3 isolation beds, and 1 critical care bed. The hospital treats an average of 60 patients per day, and we are limited to 1-3 emergency veterinarians at any given time. This means the hospital is almost always at capacity, and our exam rooms are currently being used to give families the privacy to say goodbye to their cherished friends. We are here to help you to the best of our ability without jeopardizing the care of the patients already within our care.

The demand for emergency veterinary services has grown to unprecedented levels. This, combined with a nation-wide industry shortage of veterinarians and veterinary technicians, has led to long wait times and capacity limitations. Our top priority must be caring for those patients who are in critical condition and have the utmost need for immediate attention.

We are strategizing to develop a hybridized approach to start to allow re-entry into the hospital, but this will take some time. We look forward to continuing to serve you and eventually greeting you back into our hospital.
